Energy Efficiency in Germany

Providing the participants with comprehensive knowledge i.a. on Germany’s energy conservation laws, standards and certification and low-carbon planning: That was the aim of the 3-week training program on “Incentive Measures and Experience on Energy Efficiency in Germany 2016” from 28 August to 17 September 2016 in Berlin and Munich.

Organized by the Sino-German Energy Partnership, this National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) training covered a wide variety of topics. The participants gained in-depth insights not only on Germany's energy conservation legislation, but also on standards and certifiction, low-carbon planning, project assessment and key technologies, as well as energy efficiency financing and other best practices.

During the training weeks the delegation visited a wide range of governmental, institutional and industrial organisations and companies in Germany facilitating an intensive exchange on a huge number of topics, such as policies and mechanisms for supporting energy efficiency measures on national and local level, energy management system ISO 50001 or financing.
