SINO-GERMAN DEMONSTRATION PROJECTS

The Sino-German Demonstration Projects on Energy Efficiency in Industry and City Quarters and Project on Energy Efficiency and Climate Networks in Taicang aim at increasing energy efficiency, reducing carbon dioxide emissions, and showcasing German know-how and solutions in China, while providing a platform for strengthening the bilateral private sector cooperation and involving both side’s industries in the implementation of the projects.

Sino-German Demonstration Project on Energy Efficiency in Industry

The overall aim of the project is to achieve a significant increase in energy efficiency in China’s energy-intensive industry, contribute to the reduction of GHG emissions in China, and strengthen the private sector cooperation between China and Germany.

Sino-German Demonstration Project on Energy Efficiency in City Quarters

The overall aim of the project is to contribute to municipal climate protection by developing and implementing an integrated concept for the efficient and sustainable energy system of an urban district or an industrial park and to identify existing – and economically interesting – energy saving and greenhouse gas emission reduction potentials. Furthermore, the project aims at improving the market conditions for energy efficiency technologies and services for the realization of sustainable local energy systems, strengthening the private sector cooperation between Germany and China, and involving German companies in the implementation of energy efficiency measures.

Sino-German Demonstration Project on Energy Efficiency and Climate Networks in Taicang

The pilot aims to promote the exchange on energy saving and carbon emission reduction among enterprises by introducing the management and organization model of German EEN, and to support the establishment and operation of EEN in THIDZ and summarize the results and experiences as replicable references to showcase that EEN can be an innovative energy service instrument for energy saving in China. This shall effectively contribute to the national climate goal of CO2 peaking and CO2 neutrality in China.
